The North Carolina Children's Home, located in Winston-Salem, has cared for children, families and individuals in need for nearly 100 years. With campuses in Winston-Salem and Franklin. The home has served Western North Carolina by being the place "Where Children and Families Matter Most." In recent years, The Children's Home has undergone significant changes, including becoming licensed by the State of North Carolina as a Mental Health Residential Treatment Center. The Home is also licensed as a Mental Health Day Treatment Program and a Child Placing Agency for Family Foster Care and Therapeutic Foster Care. Most recently, The Home officially became a licensed Adoption Agency, specializing in foster-to-adopt placements. The Children’s Home is accredited by the Council on Accreditation and by the United Methodist Association’s Educational Assessment Guidelines Leading toward Excellence (EAGLE) program.
