Voting
To register to vote in North Carolina, you must be at least 18 years
old and a U.S. citizen. Anyone convicted of a felony is no longer
eligible. Voter registration must be completed at least 30 days before
an election. You may register at the local Board of Elections or by
mail, using a form available from the Board of Elections, public libraries
and many other public offices, including many offices of the N.C.
Department of Motor Vehicles. |

with the NCDMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) within 30 days of
establishing residence. Liability insurance for each vehicle is
mandatory. To register a vehicle, proof of ownership, proof of insurance
and a current N.C. inspection certificate are required.
